Plant Establishments
RCHEM (Somanhalli) Pvt. Ltd. was a subsidiary of Raghavendra Engineering (India) Pvt. Ltd.
RCHEM is the only licensed plant to manufacture Free Base Ranitidin in the world.
The plant is US FDA Approved and has a capacity of 60MT/Month Capacity.
Origin of RCHEM:
RCHEM was established by Mr. P Suresh Babu and Mr. TV Sri Hari to support the operations of SMS Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. The plant was later acquired by SMS Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. which is the largest manufacturer of Ranitidin.
RCHEM was setup with the sole expertise of the personnel at Raghavendra Engineering under the guidance of Mr. P Suresh Babu and Mr. TV Sri Hari.
RCHEM was setup at a lightning fast speed during the times in which it took 1-2 years to setup a plant from scratch. The drivers behind being able to setup the plant so quickly were:
Raghavendra Engineering had the technical know how and the ability to customize the equipment immediately as the necessity arise.
Mr. TV Sri Hari had the technical knowledge of the necessary changes need for the product development.
Both these entities together synergized greatly in setting up and modifying the plant as and when the requirement came to make the process stable.
Achievements of RCHEM:
Won “American Green Chemistry Network Center award” for the technology invention and successful implementation.
